Community in Action Against Poverty (CAAP) is a non-profit Local organization focusing on Humanitarian, development, justice and peace building works. That aims to save lives, strengthening local economies, building resilient communities and promote justice, accountable and democratic governance to ensure stable and inclusive Somali region in Somali region and Ethiopia at large.
Health and Nutrition
We are expanding access and improving health care and Nutrition Services quality and standards in Ethiopia.
Education and vocational trainings
CAAP will strive to improve access and quality of basic education
Food security,Livelihoods and Resilience
CAAP supports improvements in household and youth livelihoods.
Water supply, Sanitation and Hygiene
To improve access and quality of basic WASH services,

CAAP implements an emergency response Projects to enhance community based protection mechanism and provision of assistance.
Stand Against Poverty
CAAP was founded on 2018 by a group of Somali experts in JigJiga, the capital of Somali region in Ethiopia and was registered in the same year through the FDRE Authority for Civil Society Organizations , with the registration number 4091.

We work in and around all areas in Somali region. We save lives; we fight against poverty; we help vulnerable people fulfill their potential. CAAP works to support national efforts to ensure the realization of sustainable development goals.

Organization and Management
CAAP shall have the following structures: Board of Directors, three board sub-committees of (Governance, Audit and Fundraising Committees), Management and technical teams.
Senior Management teams are Executive Director. Deputy Executive Director, Programs Manager, Operations Manager and Field Coordinators. Technical teams are thematic leads for all sectors implemented by CAAP
CAAP has strong teams who have different educational background and expertise needed in humanitarian and development fields.
