As part of the Resilience and Institutional Support to Empower Women (RISE) Project funded by UN Women Ethiopia, 11 of our dedicated CAAP staff completed a capacity-building workshop organized by UN Women in Dire Dawa.
The training focused on:
Communication – sharpening how we share impact stories
Human-Interest Storytelling – capturing women’s voices and journeys of change
Climate Challenges & Gender – linking women’s empowerment to climate resilience
Facilitated by UN Women’s Communications and Programme teams, the sessions combined learning with field visits and on-the-job technical support. This hands-on approach ensures our team can apply new skills directly in communities, amplifying women’s resilience stories and integrating gender-responsive climate action into all we do.
With stronger skills in communication and storytelling, CAAP is now better equipped to document transformation, inspire action, and advocate for women and girls in the Somali Region.
Together, we are building resilience, one story at a time.
